I have a lot of topics I want to post on, but I have been very busy and very focused, and I am afraid one of the things I have not been focused on is this journal. In fact, right now, I need to go work which I should have done about 3 hours ago... (Yes, I know you are all just hanging in suspense...)
Speaking of Jane Austen novels, I had never truly, viscerally appreciated how much life can be like one of her books. Then I found out. And it keeps getting deeper! Insane.
I wish life did not imitate art; I would feel much better about the world. (Technically this is actually life imitating art imitating life, which means that the art doesn't really have anything to do with it, but it feels like life imitating art. And since I can be as postmodern as the next girl if I want to be, I say it's life imitating art because that's what I want it to be. And since as postmodern viewer I have complete say over the meaning of the text - in this case, life - I can do that.)
