Well, as of around 3:00 pm yesterday I am back from Jordan. It was a great excperience. We spent 3 days in the Baptist school working mostly with English and Religion classes of all grades. It was a great time, and the kids seemed to love us. We also got to visit the University of Jordan and the ancient part of the city (dating all the way back to the time of David - you can even see where they think Uriah would have been killed). At the end of the week we went to see Petra (yeah, yeah, Indiana Jones), Mt. Nebo (the place Moses was at when he saw the promised land), the Jordan River (and the place they think Jesus was baptised), and the Dead Sea. They even managed to drag me into the Dead Sea, believe it or not. Unfortunately, I managed to pick up a cold half way through the trip, which made flying back interesting; right now I am speculating on when I will get my hearing back...
I saw some great stuff, met some interesting people, and learned a lot. And I am definitely thinking of going back sometime...
